  • Operational requirement is analysed to establish scope and intent of logistics support
       
Element: Operating environment is identified, and information is sought to determine the logistics factors
       
Element: Limitations and constraints are determined to establish feasible and realistic options for logistics support
       
Element: Critical facts and assumptions are made to allow planning to progress in the absence of developed knowledge of the current situation
       
Element: Analyse risks to logistics support
  • Risk analysis is conducted to identify and mitigate against unacceptable risks in accordance with organisational policy and procedures
       
Element: Liaison with agencies involved in operational logistics is undertaken to ensure most effective coordination of effort
